iEEG localization

Illustration of electrode localization procedure using YAEL
Tutorial 1:

This video demonstrates the electrode localization functionality of the YAEL toolbox (Your Advanced Electrode Localizer), a software tool designed to assist in every step of the electrode localization process. In this demo, we localize electrodes via an adjustable 3D view of the brain. First, we load in one subject’s brain model and adjust the visual settings to better view electrode shafts. Note that the pre-surgical MRI and post-surgical CT scans have been co-registered prior to this step. Next, we use canonical cross sections to manually identify the first and last electrode contacts on an electrode shaft. Finally, we use automatic interpolation to localize intermediate electrode contacts on that shaft.

Tutorial 2:

This follow up video demonstrates various techniques to localize particularly difficult and/or hard-to-see electrode shafts using the YAEL toolbox.
