As a research assistant, I was involved in several projects investigating language processing using event-related potentials: I worked on sentence-level studies of both metaphorical and emotional language, as well as a project looking at how the words "even so" influence language processing in discourse. I also helped to develop a new paradigm that crosses the strength of causal relationships between discourse events with the temporal order of these events. I am currently studying at Bentley University to get an MBA and an MS in Human Factors. In the Human Factors program, I hope to be able to draw on my experience in cognitive science and continue thinking about how people make sense of stimuli in the environment as I study the design of intuitive web and software user interfaces.
