Mante Nieuwland, Ph.D. (2007-2009)
Mante Nieuwland, Ph.D., was a postdoc for two years in the NeuroCognition Lab after completing his PhD with Jos van Berkum at the University of Amsterdam. His postdoc was funded by a 2-year Rubicon grant from the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO). He worked on the interplay of real-world knowledge and discourse constraints using ERPs and fMRI. Mante went on to become a Staff Scientist at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language, and is currently a Chancellor's Fellow in Psychology at the Department of Psychology in Edinburgh (UK).
