Lena is a cognitive scientist working at the intersection of pragmatics, turn-taking in conversation, and linguistic prediction. She recently graduated with her PhD in Cognitive Science and Psychology from Tufts University in 2024. During her PhD, she worked with JP de Ruiter, investigating how our knowledge of conversational sequence organization shapes language processing in dialogue. She completed her undergraduate training in Linguistics at NYU in 2016, working in the Neuroscience of Language Lab with Laura Gwilliams and Alec Marantz on the cognitive neuroscience of speech comprehension.
